Meaghan Gietzen is an artist and designer specializing in illustration and theatrical design. She received her BFA in Medical Illustration from Kendall College of Art & Design in collaboration with the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.

Being an activist and advocate, Meaghan strives to represent herself and her community ensuring diversity and inclusivity in her pieces. Some of her favorite pieces include a mural for Planned Parenthood of West Michigan and 3D modeling for an inclusive sex ed course.

One of Meaghan’s creative passions is theatre which has led her to the world of technical design working on props, costumes, and sets for local theatres. She also teaches backstage classes on prop design, costume design, and makeup courses.

Meaghan prides herself in being a jack of all trades, she loves working in multiple mediums from body art to wood burning to graffiti art. From her time in college, she is also trained in traditional mediums such as graphite, watercolor, oil painting, digital illustration, and inking. Any medium she doesn’t already know, she is willing to learn!
