Set Design

  • Inspired by Lower East Side graffiti in the 90’s, the Rent set was spray painted with iconic imagery from artists such as Lady Pink, Claw Money, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Keith Harring. Tags from the cast of characters was also included with “Mimi wuz here”, Maureen’s Cow, and Angel’s name.

  • Indecent is set in a creeky old attic, hundreds of boards were stained, painted, and distressed to create an intimate theatrical experience. A large canvas was washed with browns, oranges, and tans to create a curtain blocking a rain platform while allowing space for shadow play in front.

  • Playing the role of Tobias Ragg was not my only involvement with Circle Theatre’s 2023 production of Sweeney Todd, I also painted the caravan Toby and Signor Pirelli peddle their “Miracle Elixirs” out of. Wall Logo, chart, and advertisement designed and painted by me!

  • A Haunt is not complete without some desperate scrawlings on the walls! Featured in the “Malice in Wonderland” attraction are spray painted infamous quotes from “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” by Louis Carrol. Phrases include “Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost”, “We’re All Mad Here”, and “I’m NOT Crazy!”

Properties Design

  • All for One and One for All! This was such a fun show to curate props for. Circle Theatre’s Magic Circle children’s production featured long scrolls, plush fish, and giveaway marketplace items such as pinwheels, dancing scarves, and flowers!

  • Transport back to a 1920’s recording studio where Ma Rainey is in the process of recording her new record. This dramatic play exemplifies the trials and tribulations of coordinating a recording session between the band members, record producers, sound mixer, and leading lady, Ma Rainey. This show is full of antique furniture and vintage records and was so fun to design for!

  • In this risque cult classic, weird and wild is the name of the game. From whips and leashes to flogs and handcuffs sky is the limit when it came to designing for this show. This show takes place a castle in the woods belonging to the crazed inventor, Frank n Furter, an ecclectic transexual and his minion phantoms. This show tells the story of a traditional couple getting stranded in the night with these creatures of the night.

  • This kids show was so much fun to design for. We leap into the world of Curious George with all his kooky and wild adventures. In this cartoon-style story, we find George excited for Chef's annual free meatball day but becomes disheartened when Chef cancels due to competition that just moved in across the street. This bright and colorful musical is full of play food and ingredients all created from cardboard, string, and foam to enhance the child-like play and wonder of this show.

  • A hilarious comedy highlighting the farcical nature of modern politics showcases the power of when women come together. An ecclectic group of women must work together to manage and save the bumbling President's job. This production showcases fun and challenging props including a throwable vase and bust as well as a cardboard box with puppet legs.

Backstage Magic Classes

  • Did you know? Dragons LOVE tacos! In this 4th and 5th grade class, we learned all about props, costumes, and set design. We created some tacos with construction paper, felt, and yarn and had a taco party! We also created some amazing costumes inspired by our favorite dragons from the show.

  • Zombies, Ghosts, and Ghouls! Our 6th through 12th graders had a great time creating these looks! We went through the beginning stages of basic makeup design to face paint techniques and finishing off with special effects design. These students did a fantastic job of referencing face charts and creating their own designs too!

  • This 2nd through 5th grade class had so much fun learning all about face paint and body paint techniques. Each week we had a different theme, animals, fantasy, under the sea, pets, and more!

  • Our 2nd-3rd and 4th-5th graders created props, set pieces, and costumes inspired by our favorite Disney movies and shows. We brought back the classic shoebox dioramas and created set designs!

  • We launched into the world of Auradon and the Isle of the Lost with our 2nd-3rd and 4th-5th grade classes to learn about props, sets, and costumes through the lens of some of our favorite disney princesses and villains.

Theatre Camps

  • Dramatic Discovery is a one week day camp in the summer for students completed the 3rd-6th grades. Each day they rotate through singing, dancing, acting, sets & props, and costume classes. Through the week each group prepares a scene and choreographed dance as part of a full musical for the end of the week.

  • Creative Quest is a one week day camp in the summer for students completed the 1st-2nd grades. Each day they rotate through singing, dancing, acting, and backstage classes. Through the week each group prepares a scene and choreographed dance as part of a full musical for the end of the week.

  • Performance Block is our student show each Spring for 6th through 12th graders. They put on a whole show or jr. version of a show. This is great to experience what a real audition process, rehearsal process, and performance process looks like. The props, sets, and costumes are designed by real designers and ran just like a mainstage show.

  • The one act shows are short plays and musicals done by our 6th through 12th grade students. These productions are ran just as a regular mainstage show where designers are hired to design and gather props for the students to use. Our production track students will also help out with this process giving them an in-depth interactive lesson on how prop design works!
